SUMMARYIn Microsoft Excel, when you insert a control on a worksheet or dialog sheet using the Forms toolbar, each control that you insert on that sheet is numbered sequentially, for example List Box 1, Check Box 2, Option Button 3, and so on. The sequential numbering is not maintained strictly within like items, such as List Box 1, Check Box 1, List Box 2, and so on. This behavior is by design in Microsoft Excel. Each number for a control must be unique, because when you reference the control in a macro, you can just use the number of the control. The sequential numbering of controls is not maintained across different sheets; the numbering starts again for controls on a new worksheet.
