PRJ: Task Request: Don't Want to Send Email to Certain Resources

When you send a Task Request, Microsoft Project will use the Resource Name as the email address. When you choose the Send button, if the Resource Name does not exist in the Email Address Book, Microsoft Project will check the Email Address field; if this field is blank, a dialog box will prompt you to select the correct email address.

If you have a resource that you do not want to receive email (for example if one of your resources is a material resource named "Lumber"), set the Email Address field for that particular resource to "none." The program will ignore that resource when a Task Request is performed.

To edit an email address

1. From the View menu, choose Resource Sheet.
2. From the View menu, choose Table, choose More Tables, and then choose New.
3. Design the table as follows:

        Field Name       Align        Width        Title
        ------------------------------------------------
        ID               Right        10
        Name             Right        15
        Email Address    Right        27
   						

4. Choose OK, and then choose Apply.

You can now enter the word "none", in the Email Address field for those resources that should not receive email.
