Project: Timescale Off by One Week

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you format the Gantt Chart timescale such that the weeks are displayed with the "Jan 31, '94" label, the timescale will start one week late.


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do the following to format your project so that Monday is the first day of the week:

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Options.


  2. Select the Calendar tab.


  3. In the Week Starts On box, change Sunday to Monday.


NOTE: If your project must start on a Sunday, there is no workaround for this problem.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
