Linked Word Text Truncated on Right |
Q115261
When you paste link a Word 6.0 document object into another application
such as Write or Microsoft Excel 5.0, the linked object displays with a
fixed 6-inch width. If the text that is linked is a paragraph, the text
wraps correctly within the 6 inches. However, if the text that is linked is
in a large table, text in the right column is truncated.
The container application does not allow you to adjust the size of the
object or crop the object to display the truncated text nor does adjusting
the margins affect the display of the truncated text.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 6.0 and 6.0a for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Use Paste instead of Paste Link.
