XL5: AutoFormat Page Setup Options Not Applied to Chart |
In Microsoft Excel, when you apply a user-defined chart AutoFormat to an embedded chart, the Page Setup options in the AutoFormat are not applied.
When you create a user-defined chart AutoFormat, from either an
embedded chart, or a chart contained on its own sheet, the Page Setup
options are saved in the AutoFormat along with the chart formatting.
When you apply the user-defined AutoFormat to an embedded chart, the Page
Setup options such as orientation and header/footer information are not
copied to the chart.
When you apply a user-defined AutoFormat to an embedded chart, you
must manually change the Page Setup options, such as margins and
orientation, to the desired settings.
Note that when you apply a user-defined AutoFormat to a chart sheet,
the Page Setup options contained in the AutoFormat ARE copied to the
chart.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0.
