BUG: dberrhandle() Not Called Due to Network Error |
Q115601
The error handler registered by dberrhandle() is not called if dbresults() or dbnextrow() returns FAIL due to the server shutting down or the network connection dying. In many cases, the dbproc is not marked as dead. This will happen if the executable is an OS/2, Windows NT, Windows, or MS-DOS program.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in DB-Library versions 4.20.50 and 4.21. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
