Incorrect or No Printout Mail Merging to Avery Label Printer

SYMPTOMS

When you try to perform a mail merge from Word 6.0 or 6.0a to an Avery Personal Laser Printer, the printer produces incorrect results or fails to print. (Merging to this printer from Word 2.x works correctly.)


CAUSE

Word 6.0 or 6.0a and the Avery Personal Laser Printer version 1.0 software are incompatible. The Avery 1.0 software includes macros designed for mail merging from Word 2.x. These macros don't work correctly from Word 6.0 and 6.0a.


STATUS

Avery has updated these macros for use with Word 6.0 and 6.0a. The macros are available in version 1.0D.


RESOLUTION
