SUMMARY

In Works for Windows, printing colored text to a noncolor printer may have various printed results, depending on the printer being used. This problem can be particularly apparent when printing white (or light- colored) text on a dark background.

On some printers, such as the Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet, any text color other than white will print. On other non-color printers, such as the Epson FX-85, certain colors may print while others may not. This may also be a problem with other colors where the text color maps to the same color as the background.

Possible Workaround

Selecting the Print TrueType As Graphics option in those printer drivers that offer it may correct the problem.

HP LaserJet III Resolution

Version 30.3.85 or 30.3.86 of the Windows HP LaserJet driver corrects this problem.
