SYMPTOMS

When a screen created with the Screen Wizard in FoxPro 2.6 for Windows is transported to FoxPro for Macintosh and recompiled by choosing Generate from the Program menu, the following error message will occur:

  Error in SCX: Objtype=1 Not Found
  Genscrn Line Number: 4492
  Generating from :<(hard drive\folder\filename).SCX>

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, do one of the following:

If you have FoxPro 2.6 for Windows, copy the GENSCRN.PRG file to the Macintosh and use it for your screen generator program.
-or-
Upgrade to FoxPro 2.5c for Macintosh.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro 2.5b for Macintosh. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro 2.5c for Macintosh.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

1. In FoxPro 2.6 for Windows, create a screen with the Screen Wizard. For

   example, use the SALESMAN.DBF file in the TUTORIAL sudirectory.

2. Copy the .SCR and .SCT files created in step 1 to a system that has

   FoxPro 2.5b for Macintosh installed.

3. Open the .SCR file and transport the screen.

4. From the Program menu, choose Generate.

You will receive the above error.
