SUMMARY

Microsoft Office installs a toolbar, Microsoft Office Manager (MOM), that allows you to start a program on the toolbar by clicking the button representing that program. In addition to the Office programs you can add programs such as the ones listed at the top of this article to the toolbar.

To add other programs to the MOM toolbar, do the following:
  1. Click the Office button on the MOM toolbar, and then click Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, click the Toolbar tab.
  3. In the list box, click the check box to place a check in it for the program you want to add to the MOM toolbar and then click Add.
  4. Type the following information in each section of the Add Program To Toolbar dialog box:
         Description: <Program name>
Command Line: <Path to the Program>
         Working Directory: <Path to the Program's folder>

For example, to add Microsoft Works to the MOM Toolbar type the following:
         Description: Microsoft Works
         Command Line: C:\MSWorks\Msworks.exe
         Working Directory: C:\MSWorks

NOTE: The above information assumes that the Works folder is C:\MSWorks. If Works is installed into a different folder, or if your hard drive uses another label, use that label and your folder name to enter the information above.

If you do not know which folder Works is installed to, use the Browse button to find Msworks.exe and its folder.
  5. In the Button Image list box, click Application Icon.
  6. Click OK to close the Add Program To Toolbar dialog box, then click OK to close the Customize dialog box.
The program now appears on the MOM toolbar.
