SYMPTOMSThe FoxPro Filer utility fails to copy a file that contains an umlaut in the filename.
RESOLUTIONUse the MS-DOS COPY command or use the Windows File Manager to copy the file.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro 3.0 for Windows.
