PRJ4: GP Fault Closing Project While Analyzer Macro Running

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, if you run the Project Analyzer macro and exit Microsoft Project before you close the macro, you will receive a general protection (GP) fault.


CAUSE

The Project Analyzer macro runs under Microsoft Project. You cannot close Microsoft Project while the Analyzer macro is still running.


RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, do not close the Project Analyzer macro before you exit Microsoft Project.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
