SYMPTOMS

Word for the Macintosh, Word for Windows, and Word for MS-DOS do not currently directly support conversion to or from WordPerfect version 3.0 for the Macintosh.

WORKAROUND

To convert between WordPerfect version 3.0 for the Macintosh and Microsoft Word, use the appropriate method below.

WordPerfect to Word

Save your document from WordPerfect 3.0 for the Macintosh as Rich Text Format (RTF) and open from RTF into Word.

NOTE: If you are using Word for the Macintosh and saving as RTF results in loss of some formatting, try saving as WordPerfect 2.0 for the Macintosh format and using the WordPerfect 2.0 for the Macintosh converter available for use with Word for the Macintosh to read the file. Word to WordPerfect

Method 1:

To convert a Word for the Macintosh document to WordPerfect 3.0 for the Macintosh, use the WordPerfect 2.0 for the Macintosh converter to save as Word 2.0 for the Macintosh format and open from this format into WordPerfect 3.0 for the Macintosh.

Method 2:

If you are using Word for Windows or Word for MS-DOS, or if method 1 results in loss of desired formatting, save from Word as RTF and open from RTF into WordPerfect 3.0 for the Macintosh.
