Problems Resizing Embedded Objects in Works for Windows

In most cases, the object embedded in a Works document is presented in the form of a Windows metafile. The actual native data format is shown only when editing the object. Therefore; the embedded object is subject to the same strange display behaviors as any other windows metafiles.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Create a new Word Processor document in Works.
2. From the Insert menu, choose Drawing.
3. In Draw, create a box.
4. Use the Font tool ("A" on the toolbar) to add text to the box.
5. From the File menu, choose Exit and Return to <document>. where <document> is the name of the document created in step 1.
6. Choose Yes to update the document.
7. Click the object so it is selected.
8. From the Format menu, choose Picture/Object.
9. In the scaling box, set both Width and Length to 50%, and choose OK.

The result is that the box is smaller, but the font is still the original size. The words may be cropped instead of the font resizing, too.
