If a number precedes the decimal point, the decimal tab functions as expected. CAUSE ===== When you type a dollar sign immediately in front of the decimal point, the decimal is treated as a period and the tab is treated as a right tab. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Publisher version 2.0 and 2.0a. This problem was corrected in Publisher version 3.0 for Windows 95. STEPS TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM ========================== 1. Set a decimal tab in a Publisher text frame. 2. Press the TAB key to move to the decimal tab and type ".12" (without the quotation marks). Note that the decimal tab functions as expected. 3. Press the TAB key to move to the decimal tab and type "1.12" (without the quotation marks). Note that the decimal tab functions as expected. 4.
