SYMPTOMS

Make the OLE component as small as possible before copying it to the Clipboard.

Make the page margins as small as possible in the Works Word Processor document in which you want to have the object.

Place the insertion point on the first line of an empty page in the Word Processor document.

Paste the object into the Word Processor.

Resize the object as needed to show as much of it as possible.

If Works cannot fit an entire object on a single page of a Word Processing document, it will resize it proportionately so it will fit. For example, if an embedded Spreadsheet object is too long to fit on a single page, Works takes the image and resizes the length AND the width equally. As a result, all of the columns copied do not fit on the page. If you double-click the object, it is in insitu (in-place editing), and you can scroll through the document and see all the information.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Create a new spreadsheet in Works.
Add the numbers 1 to 100 in A1:A100 using Fill Series.
Copy A1:A100 to columns B through H using Fill Right.
Place your cursor in A1, then press CTRL+SHIFT+END to select the data in the spreadsheet.
From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
Create a new Word Processor document in Works.
From the Edit menu, choose Paste.

Notice that some of the columns and rows seem to be missing.

If you copy only 49 rows of a spreadsheet, all of the columns will show up in the Word Processor without going into insitu. You can still double-click the Spreadsheet component, go into insitu, and see all the data.
