When you choose to convert a Microsoft Access version 1.x database to
version 2.0 using the Convert command from the File menu, you can specify a
destination database with the same path and filename as the source
database. However, if you do so, the following error message will be
displayed:
Can't convert a database if the source and destination databases have the same name and path.CAUSE Microsoft Access version 2.0 cannot convert a database if the source and destination databases have the same name and path.
RESOLUTION Specify either a different name or a different path for the source and destination databases. If you want to use the same name, you must use a different path.
STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access version 2.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
