SUMMARY

Publisher cannot save publications in a graphic format accessible by other applications. The following steps show how to work around this limitation, and use Paintbrush to save a publication as a graphic file.

To save a publication from Microsoft Publisher as a graphic file:
  1. Select the information from Publisher you want to save as a graphic.
  2. Choose Copy from the Edit menu.
  3. Run Paintbrush from the Accessories group in Program Manager, .
  4. Choose Paste from the Edit menu. (Note the image is editable.)
  5. Choose Save As from the File menu.
  6. From the Save File As Type list box, choose the desired format (PCX or BMP).
  7. Type a unique filename in the File Name box.
  8. Choose OK.
This image is now a graphic in a discreet file, independent of Publisher, and usable in other applications that can import PCX or BMP graphics.
