Last reviewed: September 12, 1996
Article ID: Q118879
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 5.0, 5.0a

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, when you use the MsgBox function in a Visual Basic procedure, and you use the Title argument, the dialog box that appears when you run the procedure does not have a title.

CAUSE

The MsgBox() function does not use the Title argument, even though Help states that you can use this argument to display a title in a message box.

Note that when you use the InputBox function with the Title argument, the dialog box is displayed with a title as expected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
