Office 4.x-CD: Office Assistant Files Not in OFFICE Directory |
Q118943
In the instructions for installing Microsoft Office Assistant that are included with Microsoft Office, step 4 states the following:
In the Command Line box, type the letter of the drive that contains the Office CD, a colon, a backslash, the text office.ast\disk1\setup and then choose the OK button. For example, type d:\office\disk1\setup.This information is incorrect.
<drive>:\ofassist\disk1\setup
(where <drive> is the drive, D for example, where the Office CD is
located).
<drive>:\bonus\oa\disk1\setup
(where <drive> is the drive, D for example, where the Office CD is
located).
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the documentation for Microsoft Office version 4.2-CD and 4.3-CD.
