SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, when you delete a custom submenu item from the Toolbar shortcut menu using the Delete method in a Visual Basic, Applications Edition, procedure, one of the following occurs:
CAUSEThis behavior only occurs when you delete a custom submenu item from the Toolbar shortcut menu, (one that you have added to the shortcut menu). This problem does not occur with any of the other shortcut menus. This is also not a problem when you delete a standard menu item from the Toolbar shortcut menu.
WORKAROUNDTo avoid this problem when you delete a custom submenu item from the Toolbar shortcut menu, delete the menu item that contains the submenu item, and then add the menu item, and any additional submenu items again. The following is an example of this method.
