Unattached Text Moves Relative to Chart Axis Scale

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel, when you change the axis scale on a chart, the
position of unattached text on the chart is changed as well.
CAUSE
Unattached text on a chart is moved relative to the chart axis scale. For
example, if you change the scale of the y axis, the vertical position of
unattached text on your chart changes relative to this change in scale. If
you change the scale of the x axis, the horizontal position of unattached
text on your chart changes.
WORKAROUND
To avoid this behavior, change the axis scale on your chart before you
position your unattached text on the chart.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
