SYMPTOMS
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
If you open a standard (select) query, switch the query type to a SQL-
specific query using the Query menu, and then switch the query back to a
standard query, the original query layout will be cleared. If you switch
the query back to a SQL-specific query, anything you typed in the SQL-
specific query will be gone.
RESOLUTION
To recover your original query, close the query without saving it. When you
open the query again, the original layout will be restored.
STATUS
This behavior is by design, and is being reviewed for consideration for
change in a future release of Microsoft Access.
