Corrupted PRINT Fields in Round-trip RTF Conversion |
Q119748
A PRINT field that contains an ESC sequence created using the ALT+027 keystrokes may be converted incorrectly after a round-trip conversion to rich text format (RTF) and back to Word. The ESC sequence will appear as an underscore after the conversion.
We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
This behavior does not occur when you enter the code by typing the numerals 027. Do not enter the ESC sequence using ALT+027. Instead, type the numerals 027; do not use the ALT key.
