SYMPTOMS
The Hewlett Packard NetServer with the onboard dual channel disk array
controller (based on Mylex 55069-C, HP part number SC3609A) may have a
problem converting a FAT partition to NTFS if the hard drive is larger
than 1 GB and you are using an older HP SCSI driver.
CAUSE
While the computer is on the latest Windows NT hardware compatibility
list, the SCSI controller is not, although HP is shipping out Windows NT
drivers with the machine to support it. Windows NT may not even boot on a
computer with an older driver.
RESOLUTION
Hewlett Packard has confirmed that there is a problem with the original
driver, and recommends upgrading to the latest drivers. Contact HP
technical support at (208) 323-2551 and request files HPDA1.ZIP or
HPDA2.ZIP, or ask for the latest file names.
