SUMMARY

Computers using the keyboard controller chips other than the 8042 are unable to use the Microsoft Natural Keyboard when running under Microsoft Windows NT.

MORE INFORMATION

Texas Instruments (TI) laptops and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) versions of these machines are known to use the 710 keyboard controller chips rather than the 8042. These machines do not work with the Microsoft Natural Keyboard under Windows NT. There is currently no workaround for systems not using an 8042 keyboard controller chip.
