Microsoft FoxPro for Macintosh, versions 2.5c, 2.6a

SYMPTOMS

FoxPro code page functionality doesn't work when FoxPro is running on Greek, Polish, or Russian versions of version 7.1.2 of the Macintosh operating system.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

1. Install the Greek, Polish, or Russian version of version 7.1.2 of the

   Macintosh operating system.

2. Install the U.S. version of FoxPro.

3. Verify that the CONFIG.FPM configuration file contains the line

   "CODEPAGE = AUTO" (without the quotation marks).

4. Start FoxPro. In the Command window, type "?CPCURRENT()" (without

   the quotation marks).

Note that ?CPCURRENT() returns 0. It should return 10006 for the Greek, 10007 for the Russian, or 10029 for the Polish version of the operating system.
