SYMPTOMS
========

When you open files in Publisher, the following error may occur if
the default printer is the Hewlett-Packard (HP) 1200C driver version 2.0a:

   Can't read x:\(path)\filename.pub. Press Retry to try again. Cancel
   closes Publisher and loses all edits.

CAUSE
=====

The error occurs if the HP 1200C printer driver is set as the default
printer in the Windows Control Panel. The driver uses the Adobe
PostScript printer driver version 2.0a. This driver is for Windows
3.0 and does not support TrueType fonts.

RESOLUTION
==========

In the Windows Control Panel, set the default printer to a different
printer driver that supports Windows 3.1 and TrueType fonts.
