SUMMARY
A single field in Works 2.0 and 3.0 is limited to 255 characters. You can work around this limitation by placing two fields, one main field with a memo field, next to each other in the form using the following steps:
- In a database form, create Field 1: with the desired width and
height.
- Create Field 2: directly below Field 1: with the same
dimensions.
- Click the label for Field 2. From the Format menu, click
Show Field Name to remove the check mark.
- From the Format menu (Works 3.0) or the Options menu
(Works 2.0), click Snap To Grid to remove the check mark so
the fields will move freely.
- Select Field 2 and drag it directly below Field 1.
Now, you can type in Field 1 until you have entered the maximum of 255
characters. Once you reach the end of the field, press
ENTER and then press
TAB to move to Field 2 to continue typing your information.
