Paste Linked Object Is Truncated After Update with A4 Paper

SYMPTOMS

The bottom portion of an object is truncated after you update the link to an object. This behavior occurs when you use the A4 (210x297 mm) paper size and the object is paste linked.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 6.0 and 6.0a for Windows. This problem was corrected in Word version 6.0c for Windows.


WORKAROUNDS

Method 1: Use the Paste command instead of the Paste Link command.

Method 2: If you choose Paste Link, insert the object as Formatted Text instead of as a Microsoft Word 6.0 Document Object.
