PRJ4: Can't Delete Working Time for Third Shift on Calendar

Q120706

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 4.0 for Windows, it is not possible to change the third shift of a calendar once it has been created. The third shift is the third set of From and To fields in the Change Working Time dialog box (from the Tools menu, choose Change Working Time).

WORKAROUND

Select the days(s) that you modified to include a third shift and select the default button. This will remove the third shift and set the first and second shifts back to the global defaults of the calendar.

Alternatively, you can delete both the second and third shift, choose OK to except the change and then come back into the Change Working Time dialog box to reinput the second shift.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
