AutoCorrect Incorrectly Reinserts Entries with Symbols

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When an AutoCorrect entry contains an ending symbol, such as ">" or "*" (without quotes), for example

<tab> or *test*
if you press the BACKSPACE key to erase the symbol, and then press the SPACEBAR, AutoCorrect replaces the original text as follows:
<<tab> or **test*


STATUS

WORKAROUND

Insert a space between the word and the symbol.
