SYMPTOMS

The following problems may occur when you print a large database to a file when using the Generic/Text print driver:

  1. Blank lines are added to the top of the document and within the document where page breaks may occur.
  2. Records are deleted and replaced by the blank lines.

RESOLUTION

Create a database report, and print to a file from the report definition. The data will be double-spaced and will still contain the blank lines, but no data will be lost.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
