PRJ4: Link Lines Printed Incorrectly in Gantt |
Q121147
In Microsoft Project, when a task has a predecessor that is at least one
vertical page below it, the link line will be printed incorrectly. A link
line will appear to come from above page 1, and it will not have an
origination point. This problem occurs typically when links come from the
right or left of the Gantt bar (the Middle option in the Layout dialog box).
NOTE: Tasks with the above criteria that have a Start To Finish (SF) relationship may cause extra dependency lines to be drawn on the
intermediate pages between the tasks.
A possible work around to this problem is to sort the tasks by Start date so that successor tasks are below their predecessors.
NOTE: This workaround may work only if the dependencies are FS (finish to start).
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
