SYMPTOMS
========

Text formatted in Microsoft Word 2.0 for Windows with dark colors may not
maintain its color when imported into Publisher. Colored text such as dark
blue, dark cyan, dark green, dark magenta, dark red, and dark yellow may
import as black text. The problem occurs when the imported document is a
Normal .DOC file from Word.

The eight basic colors blue, cyan, green, magenta, red, yellow, black, and
white import into Publisher and retain their colored format.

WORKAROUND
==========

To work around this limitation, save the Word for Windows document in RTF
(rich text format) by choosing Save As from the File menu and selecting
Rich Text Format (*.rtf) in the Save File As Type list. Import the RTF file
into Publisher.
