SYMPTOMS

An Aldus FreeHand version 4.0 object in your Word document does not update to reflect changes made to the source.

WORKAROUND

Use the following steps to reinsert the updated object into your Word document:

1. Delete the object in your Word document.



2. Open the source file in FreeHand.



3. Select and copy the FreeHand object.



4. In your Word document, choose Paste from the Edit menu. This will create a static (not linked) image. It will not be an OLE object.
