Text Form Field Inserted as AutoText Creates New Styles |
Q122197
When you insert a Text form field in a document, create an AutoText entry
for the Text form field, and then insert the AutoText entry in your
document, Word for Windows adds all your AutoText names to the Style box on
the Formatting toolbar and to the Styles list in the Style dialog box.
Similarly, when you create and insert an AutoText entry for a text box in
the drawing layer, Word adds the AutoText name to the Style box and Styles
list for any AutoText entry that contains a drawing object.
This behavior does not occur in Word 6.0 for the Macintosh, nor does it
occur in Word 6.0 for Windows NT.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 6.0, 6.0a, and 6.0c for Windows. This problem has been corrected in Word version 7.0 for Windows 95.
You can delete these styles by selecting them from the Styles list in the Style dialog box and then choosing the Delete button.
