PUB2: Low Memory Error Starting OLE Application

SYMPTOMS
========

When you start an OLE application, such as WordArt 2.0 or the ClipArt
Gallery in Publisher 2.0, you receive the following error:

   Windows is low on memory...

CAUSE
=====

This error may occur because you have an old version of the STORAGE.DLL
file (which ships with Publisher 2.0). In some cases, versions of
STORAGE.DLL dated 6/28/93 cause this error.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft
Publisher for Windows, version 2.0a.

RESOLUTION
==========

To correct this problem, you should be using STORAGE.DLL version 2.01. To
check the version of your STORAGE.DLL file:

1. From the Help menu, choose About Microsoft Publisher.

2. Choose the System Info button.

3. From the Choose A Category list, select System DLL's.

4. Scroll down to STORAGE.DLL and check the version number.

If you have Publisher version 2.0 and your STORAGE.DLL is not version 2.01,
you should update to Publisher version 2.0a.

You can also obtain STORAGE.DLL version 2.01 from Microsoft Excel version
5.0 for Windows, Word version 6.0 for Windows, or PowerPoint version 4.0
for Windows.
