SYMPTOMS
When you apply a box border to two or more paragraphs where the first
paragraph has a left and right indent and the second paragraph has no
indent, the top border over the second paragraph is not displayed or
printed correctly. The indented paragraph has a box border around it.
Multiple paragraphs with the same indentation do not exhibit this behavior.
WORKAROUND
Apply a border between the two paragraphs to complete the incomplete top
border and remove the bottom border from the indented paragraph to prevent
a double border. To do this, follow these steps:
- Select the paragraph with the incomplete border.
- On the Format menu, click Borders And Shading.
- In the Border box, apply a border between the sample paragraphs.
- Click OK.
- Select the indented paragraph.
- On the Format menu, click Borders And Shading.
- Remove the bottom border by clicking the bottom border of the sample
paragraphs in the Border box.
- Click OK.
STATUS
