Create the following WordBasic macro, which temporarily unprotects the form, displays the drop-down list contents, and then reprotects the form:


   Sub MAIN
      DisableInput
      ToolsUnprotectDocument
      SendKeys "%{down}"
      ToolsProtectDocument .NoReset = 1, .Type =2
   End Sub

To create the macro, click Macro on the Tools menu. Type a name for the macro and click Create. Type the text that appears between Sub MAIN and End Sub in the sample macro above. Save and close the macro.

After you create the macro, edit the drop-down form field by double-clicking the field. In the Run Macro On Entry drop-down list, select this macro and click OK.
