Gutter in Unexpected Location in Mixed-Orientation Document |

The gutter margin may appear in an unexpected location in the Page Setup
dialog box's Preview box if the document contains multiple orientations.
For example, if a document's first section has landscape orientation, the
gutter appears at the bottom of subsequent pages with portrait orientation.
Or, if the first section of a document has portrait orientation, the gutter
appears at the top of subsequent pages with landscape orientation.
Note that the gutter is not displayed in the Preview box if it is set to 0
inches.
The placement of gutters in a document with mixed orientations is determined by the orientation of the document's first section. Gutters are applied to all sections in the same physical location on the page so the document can be bound as one piece.
To create a section with landscape orientation that does not affect the gutters of pages with portrait orientation, offset the landscape section with section breaks as described in the following steps:
