SYMPTOMSTrying to select (highlight) characters in the MODIFY TABLE STRUCTURE dialog box by using keyboard commands does not work as expected. Using the key combination SHIFT+RIGHTARROW to highlight characters to the right of the current cursor position fails. It only moves the cursor to the right the same number of times the RIGHTARROW is pressed. The same is true of the LEFTARROW direction key. It should select the text, but does not.
WORKAROUNDUse the mouse to select (highlight) the characters.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro 3.0b for Macintosh.
