The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, if an Auto_Deactivate name exists, the macro it is assigned to may not be called when the worksheet is deactivated.
CAUSEThis problem occurs if the worksheet is deactivated by opening an existing workbook. This problem does not occur if the worksheet is deactivated by any other method.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
