BUG: SQL Admin. Will Not Drop Logins w/ Single User Databases |
Q124060
If a system has any databases in single user mode, logins cannot be dropped
using the SQL Administrator systems logins window.
If a system has any databases in single user mode, any attempt to drop
logins using the Manage/Drop Logins menu item in the SQL Administrator
system logins window receives a series of three 924 errors:
Database 'X' is already open and can have only one user at a time.
Drop the login from the query window using sp_droplogin.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Administrator version 4.2 for Windows and Windows NT. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
