The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0, 5.0c
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0

Microsoft Excel 5.0 does not have a Workbook Contents window. This configuration is different from Microsoft Excel 4.0.

To see the available sheets in a workbook, follow the appropriate method below to bring up a shortcut menu that contains a list of all visible (not hidden) sheets in the current workbook.

Method 1: If you are using Microsoft Excel for Windows

          a. Position the mouse pointer over the tab scrolling arrows to
the left of the first visible sheet tab.

          b. Click the right mouse button

Method 2: If you are using Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh

          a. Position the mouse pointer over the tab scrolling arrows to
the left of the first visible sheet tab.

          b. Hold down the CTRL key and click the right mouse button.

If the sheet tabs for a workbook are not visible, choose Options from the Tools menu, and then select the View tab. Under Window Options, select the Sheet Tabs check box.
