PRJ4: Summary Information Not Saved in Embedded Files

SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft Project is acting as an OLE server, properties of the file such as Title, Subject, Author and Keywords are removed when returning to the OLE client application. These properties also are unavailable via a macro.


CAUSE

Some Summary Info items for a project are not saved when the project is an embedded file. These properties include Title, Subject, Author, and Keywords.


MORE INFORMATION

If you need to obtain the name of the active project when Microsoft Project is acting as an OLE server, reference the Project Summary Task name. Other entries inside the Summary Info will have to be kept in a task field, such as Notes, in order to access the values in an embedded file.
