PERT Chart Headers and Footers Not Printing

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you print a PERT chart, or when you view it in print preview, headers and footers are not displayed.


CAUSE

This problem occurs if the Outer Pages option is selected under Borders Around in the Page Setup dialog box (Outer Pages is the default option). When this option is selected, headers and footers are printed only on the legend page.


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do the following when you print a PERT chart:

  1. From the File menu, choose Page Setup, and then select the Margins tab.


  2. Under Borders Around, select either the Every Page option or the None option.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem does not occur if you are running Microsoft Project under Windows NT.
