SYMPTOMSFoxpro should not change work areas when executing a WHEN or VALID clause; the original work area should stay selected. However, if a field is included in a BROWSE FIELDS list from an open but unselected work area, and a :W (WHEN) or :V (VALID) clause is associated with that field, the work area of that field is selected when the :W or :V clause is executed.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.6 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.6a for MS-DOS
