SYMPTOMS
A date entered into a Works spreadsheet or database may not register the
correct date serial number and display incorrectly if the day is set to
short (for example, Sun) instead of long (for example, Sunday) in the
International Date Format setting in Control Panel.
- With dates entered as "Month Day," for example, March
15, the day will interpreted as the year, in this case
1915.
- With dates entered as "Month Day, Year," for example,
March 15, 1995, the date will be interpreted
as a text string.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the programs listed at the
beginning of this article.
