How to Print a Large Book from Publisher

Q124831

------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher version 2.0a ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY ======= Because the final output of a very large (several hundred page) book will be difficult to fold, you may not want to print the entire book fold publication at once. In Publisher 2.0a, you can print the publication in small sections, fold them, and then bind the sections together into one large book, as is done with a professionally printed book. MORE INFORMATION ================ To print a large publication in small sections, you must select a print range that begins on a number 1 greater than a multiple of 4 (such as 5, 9, 33, etc.) and ends on a page number that is a multiple of 4; for example, pages 5-24, pages 25-48, pages 169-192, and so forth. 1. From the File menu, choose Print. Select the Pages button from the Print Range list. 2. Type a page range that begins with a number one greater than a multiple of 4 and ends with an even number that is a multiple of 4--for example, pages 5-24 or 5-16. Blocks of 24 are easiest to work with. Choose OK. After the first block has printed, fold it into a book. 3. Again choose Print from the File menu. Enter the next page range--for example, 25-48 or 17-32. After this block prints, fold it into a book and place it underneath the first block. Continue until you reach the end of the book. 4. If the final range is not a multiple of 4, insert blank pages at the end of the document until you reach a multiple of 4. For example, if the last page of the document is 33, insert three blank pages so the final print range is 25-36. Additional query words: 2.00a pub20 bookfold large bind fold
